Probably the most luxurious tented lodge in Tanzania, Kirawira Camp sits on a hilltop shrouded with vegetation and bestowed with outstanding panoramic views of the rolling plains and surrounding acacia groves of the Serengeti's Western Corridor. The proximity of nature is enhanced by the open-sided architecture of the public areas, most notably the dinning room and the bar/lounge.

Accommodation consists of 25 upmarket sleeping tents, each with a private terrace and en-suite bathroom. Décor takes inspiration from the Victorian era, blended with African-style crafts and materials. Typical Edwardian furniture, tented canvas, Persian rugs, African art, leather-bound travelling cases, brass shooting sticks, native wood, and carved rocking chairs, graciously assembled throughout the guest and public tents, evoke a time of explorers and adventurous travellers. Besides the restaurant and bar/lounge, there is a gift shop and a small but lavish swimming pool.

As with Grumeti River Camp, Kirawira Camp offers its best from May to late July, when game viewing enjoys not only the resident animals, but also a significant portion of the migratory herds of herbivores (and accompanying predators), as they cross the Western Corridor on their yearly quest to reach the fresh pastures of the Masai Mara.

Activities include morning and evening game drives, crocodile viewing along the Grumeti river (which runs just north of the camp), and visits to neighbouring local communities.
