Located just outside the National Park in
a private 12,500-hectare game concession in the Northern Serengeti
(just south of the Masai Mara Game Reserve), Klein's Camp
stands on the edge of bush-covered Kuka Hills, commanding
superb views of the plains that stretch all the way to Kenya.
In spite of being quite expensive, Klein's Camp does offer
a much considerable benefit: it is one of the few lodges in
Northern Tanzania where night game drives are allowed.
Accommodation consists of 10 comfortable
and intimate cottages, complete with en-suite bathrooms and
private verandas with great views over the plains below. In
each cottage, built from local rock and thatch, you'll find
wooden floors and cosy furnishings. The stylish public areas
include a large dinning room built around a fire place, where
Pan-African meals are served. At evenings, guests are invited
to ascend a small hill located behind the camp and enjoy the
magnificent Serengeti sunset. There is also a swimming pool
and an African crafts shop.
Besides the above mentioned night game drives,
the camp offers daily safari drives and bush walks guided
by expert rangers and guides.
